TRansport and ENvironment Database System (TRENDS)
The TRENDS project
The TRENDS project was funded by the European Commission, Directorate General for Transport and Energy, and
managed by Eurostat.
The consortium that developed the project consisted of:
- Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (LAT/AUTH) (coordinator of the project consortium)
- Department of Energy Engineering, Denmark Technical University (DTU)
- ΨΑ - Consulting, Austria (PSIAMTK)
- INFRAS, Bern, Switzerland (INFRAS)
Since LAT/AUTH is also a partner within the ETC/ACC it was decided to make TRENDS information available on the ETC/ACC web site. However, the project was not funded by EEA or ETC/ACC.
TRENDS air emissions data on the European Union
The TRENDS database provided here is only the part of a system that calculates a range of environmental
pressures due to transport.
It includes environmental pressures by air emissions from the four main
transport modes, i.e. road, rail, ships and air in the 15 countries of the European Union.
